In my mind, Tory Burch is my cool friend who dresses great all the time, takes me shopping and lets me raid her closet, full of pieces she designed. I'm really loving her neo classic style - it's like modern day Polo Ralph Lauren but for the younger, hipper, chic-er set. The Tory Burch 'Happy' Chain Strap Hobo is really the only bag you need for Fall. The tri-colored hobo has a large dot pattern resembling oversized pennies, mixing caramel glazed leather with light and dark brown suede. It has a discreet flap closure and square cabled chain strap with smooth leather for shoulder comfort.

Pre-order a Fall 2008 Tory Burch 'Lux T' Canvas Tote
April 29, 2008
This Tory Burch 'Lux T' Canvas Tote comes from the pre-Fall collection but it makes me think of Spring. Probably because the weather is so gloomy in New York that any burst of color makes me yearn for warm, sunny days! Anyway, this beautiful brown canvas tote has another reincarnation of the Tory Burch 'T' logo in provence pink patent leather. It's one of the perfect tote bags for those of you who take the train and need something other than a boring black tote to carry your work essentials. Even though there's no top closure (boo), the bag is still haute and it's $295 (not bad).

This weekend I finally bought a pair of the Tory Burch 'Serena' ballet flats. I know I'm about two years late but I kept thinking they were a fad that would be over in a season but two years later they're still going strong! These have to be some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. And they look absolutely gorgeous with the two colors and now iconic logoplate on the toe. I love them so much that now I'm a Tory Burch addict. I want another pair of her shoes, preferably the Laurel flats, some of her jet-set separates, and of course a few of her bags. I'm so in love with the Tory Burch 'T' Nylon Satchel with Croc Trim, in blue and yellow. I love the sharp contrast between nylon and crocodile. It's so unexpected yet so chic. The body is mostly nylon with an exaggerated croc 'T' shape down the center of the bag. It's a big bag, perfect for daily use and for jet-setting across the country too! Both fabrics look rich and luxurious, but the price of $550 is very affordable for such a stylish bag. You'll want to buy them all! I sure do. Pre-order yours now!
I never saw 'Frida' but I heard it was a great movie. Looking at this bag, I think it's safe to assume that Tory Burch saw the film and was perhaps inspired by Mexican art. But is that really an excuse to design a hideous handbag? Her 'Frida' Canvas Tote is (I'm assuming), meant to have a Mexican feel, but it winds up looking cheap and tacky. It looks like a novelty bag that was purchased at a Mexican street fair - something you might hang on your wall as a souvenir, but certainly not meant to be carried out of the house. And priced at $295, it better come with a Frida Kahlo original.
